Closed Houston home sales rose 9.4% during the week ended Sept. 8, according to the Weekly Activity Snapshot from the Houston Association of REALTORS®.

Nearly 1,800 properties sold during the week, up from 1,640 during the same week in 2024 — marking the sixth straight week of year-over-year growth.

Pending sales declined 3.6% year over year, however, with 1,951 listings going under contract, down from 2,023 a year ago.

New listings increased 12.4% annually as Realtors added 3,652 properties to the MLS, compared to 3,250 new listings during the same week last year.
