New listings rise in Houston as pending, closed sales dip

The Houston Weekly Activity Snapshot from the Houston Association of REALTORS.

New listings increased 2.7% year over year in Houston as pending and closed home sales fell, according to the latest Weekly Activity Snapshot from the Houston Association of REALTORS®.

Realtors helped sellers add 4,209 properties to the MLS during the week ending June 15, up from 4,098 during the same week in 2025.

Meanwhile, pending listings declined 5.9% year over year as 2,220 properties went under contract and closed home sales dropped 5.3% as buyers purchased 1,707 homes.

Showings and open houses both increased annually, however, by 8.7% and 4.9%, respectively.
