When he and his wife bought their first home in 2022, Jaramie Arvie saw an opportunity. “We felt overwhelmed, lost and unsupported during the process,” Arvie recalls. “This inspired me to bring my level of customer service, communication skills and ability to explain complex topics in a way that feels relatable.”

As the former director of sales for an event technology company at one of Houston’s largest hotels, Arvie honed his skills in hospitality, technology and finance while working with a range of clients — from former U.S. presidents and CEOs to universities, nonprofits and planners of family weddings. “What all those experiences taught me is no matter the size, status or budget, every client deserves to feel respected, heard and valued. That is the mindset I bring into my work as a lender,” he says.

Known among clients for being personable, professional and responsive, Arvie emphasizes the importance of communication skills, especially listening, in the lending business. “The only way to give the best level of service is to understand clients’ situations, limitations and goals,” he says.

Arvie comes from a large family that loves to get together cook, to socialize and support one another, and he strives to approach lending similarly, remarking, “I treat my clients the way I would want someone to treat my family, and in a lot of cases, my clients become extended family with relationships that go beyond a real estate transaction.”
