Estate of Famed Firefighter Red Adair to be Auctioned

According to Shrinershq.org, the estate and personal possessions of famed oil well firefighter Red Adair will be auctioned on Saturday, October 2.

The estate encompasses a 5,600 sq. ft home and three guest houses on nearly 400 acres, as well as tennis courts, a pool and helipad. From 1990 until his death in 2004, Mr. Adair lived on the property with his wife, Kemmie. Ms. Adair passed away May of this year.

The auction will also feature bidding on items including: firefighter hardhats and coveralls, bronze figurines, furniture, saloon games and John Wayne memorabilia.

The Adair estate and possessions will be auctioned by granddaughter Sunny at Red Acres Ranch near Bellville, Texas, on Saturday, October 2 beginning at 10:00 a.m. A Portion of proceeds will benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Adair is best known for his work in Iraq fighting oil fires after the first Gulf War of the early 1990s.
