CDC Houston, the developer behind Springwoods Village, a planned 1,800-acre mixed-use community about 30 miles north of Houston, recently released more details about the project according to an Aug. 7 report from Swamplot.com, a website that covers Houston real estate.

The center of the community will feature 250 apartments, office space, retail space and a hotel, the article said. On Wednesday, Aug. 14, the Houston Business Journal reported on the new, 385-acre Exxon Mobil campus that will be part of Springwoods Village, writing that approximately 20 office buildings will comprise the corporate campus and they will surround a 3-acre park-like commons.

The project’s website suggests the community, combining employees and residents, will hold nearly 50,000 people.  According to the fact sheet, Springwoods Village will offer between 4,500–5,000 homes that will vary in style from “luxury rental and urban-style compact housing, to single-family dwellings with yards.”
