HAR’s 2021 leadership team takes oath of office during virtual ceremonies

Realtor Celebration, the gala marking the Houston Association of Realtors’ annual change in leadership, took place as a virtual event via Zoom on the evening of Wednesday, December 16, 2020 as a result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. It was the first time in Association history that the event could not be staged at a physical venue.

The program featured the swearing in of the 2021 HAR Board of Directors and incoming chairman. HAR’s Executive Committee for the new year consists of the following members:

  • Richard Miranda, Chairman – Keller Williams Platinum                
  • Jennifer Wauhob, Chair-elect – Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Gary Greene – Katy
  • Cathy Treviño, Vice Chair – Side Real Estate
  • Thomas Mouton, Vice Chairman – Century 21 Exclusive Properties
  • Shae Cottar, Secretary/Treasurer – Coldwell Banker United Clear Lake
  • John Nugent, Immediate Past Chairman – RE/MAX Space Center

HAR President and CEO Bob Hale saluted outgoing HAR Chairman John Nugent for navigating the Association through one of its most challenging years in history as a result of the pandemic.

Guests were also treated to a video about 2021 Chairman Richard Miranda’s personal and professional journey, which included service in the U.S. Air Force and a distinguished real estate career that dates back more than 20 years. After the video ended, Miranda was seen live on the Zoom embracing his wife and two sons and mingling with family members that flew up from his native Puerto Rico to celebrate.
