Forbes Global Properties expands into Houston in deal with Baker & Co.

by Patrick Regan

Two luxury real estate specialists have joined forces in the Houston market as Forbes Global Properties welcomes Baker & Co. into its network, a news release said.

The deal brings Forbes Global Properties into Houston for the first time. The firm specializes in luxury homes and is represented by 2,450 agents in 140 locations and 11 countries.

Baker & Co. caters to luxury clients in the Greater Houston market, often working with celebrities and professional athletes, the news release said. The company also represents local builders and investors and recently partnered with luxury home builder Elevated Custom Homes.

Founder Jaime Baker sold her first home while a student at Texas State University and then moved into luxury new construction home sales. She leveraged her social media expertise to help build her client base and trained colleagues to do the same before launching Baker & Co.

The deal gives Baker & Co. access to Forbes’ support systems and digital audience of 100 million, and it allows Forbes Global Properties to reach clients in Houston’s growing high-end property market.

“We are delighted to welcome Houston’s Baker & Co. to our international network of top-tier real estate leaders,” Alex Lange, CEO of Forbes Global Properties, said in the news release. “Houston is home to 17 billionaires on the most recent Forbes Billionaires list and is an increasingly important prime property market.”
