Off-market real estate app DropOffer launches in Houston

Off-market real estate app DropOffer is moving into six new markets, including Houston.

The new markets also include Atlanta, Phoenix, Dallas, Charlotte and Tampa. DropOffer co-founders Greg Burns and Kimani Clark say their studies have shown strong demand for an alternative to iBuyers and conventional listing methods in those cities.

DropOffer connects buyers with homeowners through their app, allowing owners to passively sell their homes. Homeowners can register their home through the website and get connected with an agent that has buyers in their area.

DropOffer streamlines the availability of information about off-market properties and says its mission is to help homeowners who have been rejected by iBuyers get “real offers from real buyers.”

Zillow reported that homeowners in Houston, Atlanta, Phoenix, Dallas-Fort Worth and Charlotte sold the most homes with an iBuying service during the first quarter of 2022. 

“DropOffer is excited to enter these markets because we know that homeowners want to sell privately and conveniently and are frustrated with iBuyers and institutional investors who don’t see the same value as the real buyers that see it as their forever home,” Burns said in a news release.
