What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?
My most interesting job, and current job, is to be a mom. Ironically, Covid nearly made me crazy staying at home, but that’s where my dreams and purpose became clear. No longer did my title or income drive my purpose. For once, I understood and appreciated the job I love the most — being home. Being a mom.
Where did you grow up?
I grew up on the southside of Chicago, in a rough neighborhood called Roseland.
Growing up, what did you want to be?
While renovating my childhood home, I stumbled upon my childhood journal. A few pages in I declared I would help people, wear three piece suits, and do lots of paperwork. Welp! Looks like CEO and Realtor dreams came true.
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
I love to read, dance, laugh and spend time with my friends and family. If I’m not traveling or working, to relax, I’m home savoring the moments with my family.
If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
My granny raised me. Sadly she passed away when I was 14, too soon in my opinion. I was on my own at 15. But, I would love for her to see that her efforts and lessons she packed into me from three to 14 didn’t go on deaf ears.

What do you love most about the industry?
I enjoy helping people build wealth through real estate. People move daily for various reasons. Life happens. It’s a joy for me to help people move graciously through life. Regardless of the reason they need to move — I can help! It’s my honor to serve my clients — to educate and empower them with my expertise and help them reach their goals. #CloseWithTiff
What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
Reminding first time home buyers or sellers that their goals are closer than they realize … we will get there.
What’s your best advice for generating new leads?
Provide excellent service and your clients will keep you busy with referrals! Put yourself out there and the business will come.
What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to?
I love all things BET, Travel and HGTV. If I’m not listening to YouTube or in a class to sharpen my real estate toolbox, then I’m probably listening to Sarah Jakes.
What’s your favorite meal in Houston?
Steak and potatoes at Taste of Texas. It’s a whole experience. The wine. The kitchen tour. The service … one of my favorite places.
Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Houston?
BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Houston. It’s a beautiful marble building — it looks like something out of a story book.
What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?
I was once told that my natural hair wasn’t professional — the nerve of some people — and that was my first day on the job. Two hours later the person who made the comment was being introduced to me as one of my direct reports. It was an opportunity to educate the need for compassion and caring and the need to appreciate our differences. Diversity is love. It’s okay to be different. We are still friends to this day!
What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?
I am actually quite shy. While I can talk in front of crowds and am happy to connect with people, I am actually an introvert and enjoy spending quiet time alone.
What is your favorite vacation spot and why?
I am torn between Rome and the beaches of Antiqua. I have yet to explore Africa — I plan to do so in 2025, so maybe then I will have a different answer.

Your reputation matters just as much as your database. Do things the right way the first time!
