The first model home is now open in Riceland, a master-planned community from McGrath Real Estate Partners in Mont Belvieu. Highland Homes opened the model, with additional models from Perry Homes, Chesmar Homes and David Weekley Homes set to open within the next month.

“It is exciting to see our vision become reality,” Barrett Kirk, chief investment officer for McGrath Real Estate Partners, said in a press release. “Riceland promises to transform suburban living, offering residents a unique small-town lifestyle where life, work and play seamlessly intertwine.”

Located 32 miles east of Houston along the Grand Parkway, Phase I of Riceland includes 417 homesites situated on 144 acres. Homes will vary in size, with prices starting in the $300,000s. Upon completion, the community will include over 4,000 homes, 30 miles of nature trails and amenities such as a 10-acre lake, resort-style pools, parks and a town center plaza.
