Waller Independent School District (ISD) closed on just over 16 acres of land in Jubilee for a new elementary school that will serve approximately 850 students.
The school will be located at the southwest corner of Joyful Life Drive and Cheerful Trail, near the master-planned community’s model home park.
“Having an onsite school plays an important role in our efforts to deliver a community centered on the well-being of residents,” June Tang, vice president and general manager of Jubilee, said in a press release. “What could be more comforting to parents than knowing their young children attend school close to home?”
The school will be Waller ISD’s third project actively under construction. Details, including design and construction costs, are contingent on a bond package that will go to local ballots in November.
“Waller ISD is excited to join the Jubilee community,” said Superintendent Kevin Moran. “We look forward to partnering together to care for our kids and community for many years in the future.”
Jubilee’s master plan includes 175 acres set aside for future schools. The community is currently zoned to I.T. Holleman Elementary, Waller Junior High School and Waller High School.
