The National Association of REALTORS® named Houston Association of REALTORS® member Courtney Johnson Rose among three Fair Housing Champion Award winners.
The brokerage network has raised over $143 million since it first began working with the nonprofit in 1979.
Since its founding in 2006, Building Homes for Heroes has delivered almost 500 mortgage-free homes to wounded veterans.
“Following the tragic floods in Texas, we at the National Association of REALTORS® and the Realtors Relief Foundation are heartbroken at the lives lost and the communities devastated,” said RRF President Greg Hrabcak.
Tickets go on sale Sept. 10, with the winner announced Nov. 19. All proceeds go toward St. Jude.
Cypress Green, a master-planned community in Hockley, is offering a $10,000 discount to firefighters, EMTs, teachers, police officers and active-duty military personnel who purchase a home during the month of March.
The homesite is located in Bluestem, a Brookshire master-planned community from The Signorelli Company.
The food will go towards 100 families in need this Thanksgiving.
The charity home in the Elyson by Newland community was developed by Chesmar Homes and Brookfield Properties.
Prominent Houston developer Howard Hughes awarded 32 scholarships to graduates who attended high schools in Bridgeland and The Woodlands.
The money raised will go to nonprofit organizations that support the U.S. military community.
Built by Chesmar Homes, the project is located in Elyson by Newland, a Brookfield Properties master-planned community in Katy.
“It’s very fulfilling to support local nonprofits every year,” said Amanda McIntire, chair of the Houston division of the Heart of Highland Committee.
Angel Reach Village will shelter and support people aged 16 to 24 who have aged out of foster care or need housing due to other circumstances.
United States Air Force Staff Sergeant Jonathan Olds, as well as his wife and four children, were presented with their new home in the Mavera community in Conroe at a ribbon cutting ceremony.
More than 100 volunteers joined Johnson Development’s philanthropic efforts this year, starting with the program’s launch in February.
