Empire Homes, formerly Empire Communities, broke ground on a home for the 2025 St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway. The property is located in Attwater, a Waller master-planned community.

The builder is constructing its 3,249-square-foot Alder model, which features four bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, a home office, game room, media room and three-car garage. Though normally priced from $479,000, Empire Homes will donate the home to St. Jude’s 2025 giveaway fundraiser.

Participants can purchase raffle tickets for $100 each for a chance to win the home. Tickets go on sale Sept. 10, with the winner announced Nov. 19. All proceeds go toward St. Jude.

“At Empire, we believe that a home is much more than walls and a roof — it’s where life happens,” Tracy Brown, division president for Empire Homes, said in a press release. “With this home, we’re also building hope for thousands of children and families facing the unimaginable.”

Brown added that the builder has a goal of 15,000 ticket sales, which would raise $1.5 million. The company also plans to continue to donate one Houston-area home annually.

“St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is a beacon of compassion, innovation and relentless dedication to eradicating childhood cancer and other diseases,” she said. “We couldn’t be prouder to be a part of this initiative, especially as it aligns with our company values and commitment to give back to the community.”

Forty-three other giveaway homes from other builders are either under construction around the United States or were already awarded to winners.
