Houston real estate leader Brooks Ballard served as the chair for the fifth annual Picnic at the Polo Club benefit for Career and Recovery Resources.
Guests dressed in linen and donned big hats to sip champagne at the event, which raised funds for employment services, recovery counseling and housing assistance for Houstonians in need.
The event also honored local philanthropist Paula Sutton by introducing the Paula Sutton Award for Philanthropic Excellence.
“Picnic at the Polo Club shows what can happen when a city comes together with purpose,” Ballard said in a press release. “It’s about creating real access to opportunity and backing people as they take their next step.”
Ballard is the president of Brooks Ballard International Real Estate.
