Closed home sales in Houston gained 9.9% during the week ended Oct. 14, rising to 1,409 transactions from 1,282 a year earlier, according to the latest Weekly Activity Snapshot from the Houston Association of REALTORS®.

New listings, meanwhile rose 10.5% as Realtors added 3,058 properties to the MLS, up from 2,767 properties during the same week in 2023. Pending listings slid 2% to 1,764 from 1,800.

Listing views on HAR.com jumped 27.1% to 8,926,177, while showings were up 5.2%, at 32,925.
