New, pending and closed home listings all increased in Houston during the week ended Aug. 4, according to the Houston Association of REALTORS’® Weekly Activity Snapshot.

New listings jumped 19.4% year over year as Realtors added 4,168 properties to the MLS, up from 3,491 during the same week in 2024.

Meanwhile, 2,207 listings went under contract, compared to 2,089 a year ago, and 2,306 homes were sold, up from 2,234.

Traffic at property showings also increased 4.2% annually, with nearly 40,000 during the week.
