Americasa‘s new location at 11999 Katy Freeway in Houston

Americasa, a mortgage lender under Nationwide Mortgage Bankers, expanded into Houston with its newest branch location at 11999 Katy Freeway off Interstate 10.

The Spanish-language lender primarily serves Hispanic families, a demographic traditionally underrepresented in the homebuying market.

“Americasa’s Houston office is another positive step in enhancing our capacity to educate, empower and support Hispanic families as they move forward to achieve the dream of homeownership,” President Yasser Valdés Herrera said in a press release. “This new location will be a key component of rolling out our unique mortgage lending platform designed to deliver homebuying and financing solutions in communities that may have had limited or no access to these resources in the past.”

David Perez will serve as branch manager. He previously worked with HomeSmart.

“Hispanics now make up the largest share of Texans, and with Americasa planting our flag with this Houston office, we strive to continue engaging, supporting, empowering and educating families about building generational wealth through homeownership,” Perez said.

Americasa’s offerings include mortgage assistance, financial guidance and unique mortgage programs including down-payment assistance, foreign national loans and non-qualified mortgage loans.
