Following a week of increased consumer interest, closed home sales rose 5.2% in Houston, according to the Weekly Activity Snapshot from the Houston Association of REALTORS®.

Homebuyers purchased 2,553 properties during the week ended May 4, up from 2,428 during the same time in 2025.

Showings and listing views on HAR.com also increased annually, indicating strong demand.

New and pending listings declined, however: New listings dropped 2.6%, with 4,529 sellers joining the market, while pending listings plummeted 25.2%, with 2,059 listings going under contract.
