Closings jump 10% in Houston

The Houston Weekly Activity Snapshot from the Houston Association of REALTORS.

Closed home sales increased 9.9% year over year in Houston during the week ended July 6, according to the Weekly Activity Snapshot from the Houston Association of REALTORS®.

Buyers purchased 2,185 homes, up from 1,988 during the same week a year prior. Meanwhile, pending home sales dropped 14.8%, with 1,823 listings going under contract.

Sellers added 3,957 properties to the MLS, up 4.4% year over year.

At the same time, open house activity dropped 10.2% while showings kept pace with year-ago levels.
