Pending, closed listings rise in Houston as new listings leap 34%

New, pending and closed listings all increased annually in Houston during the week ended May 19, according to the Houston Association of REALTORS®.

The association’s Weekly Activity Snapshot shows that Realtors added 4,680 properties to the MLS, a 34.2% year-over-year increase.

Meanwhile, pending listings rose 9.8% year over year, with 2,444 listings going under contract during the week. Closings increased 4.1%, with 1,969 home sales.

Off-market listings also rose 28.4% year over year, with 2,126 homes pulled from the market.
