News for the housing market has been uniformly positive since the dawn of the New Year, and an ActiveRain survey finds that optimism has spread to agents.

Real estate agents have been a strangely absent component when it comes to sentiments and the housing recovery. Though analysts and consumers have been sounding off with increasing regularity about their confidence when it comes to the housing recovery, there have not been any wide-ranging surveys of how real estate agents feel.

Thankfully, social networking site ActiveRain has put a stop to that discrepancy. In a survey of 2,400 members of its site, ActiveRain asked real estate agents what their expectations were for the housing market in 2013, and their responses were uniformly optimistic, with agents’ attitudes on prices, transactions and new construction all miles ahead of where they were at the start of 2012.
