Andrea Snoddy & Associates – Residential Real Estate Services

For 28 years, Andrea Potts Snoddy has helped countless homebuyers and sellers in the Houston market reach their real estate goals. “Working with Andrea is like working with a well-informed concierge. She doesn’t just get your business and pass you off to someone else. You get Andrea 100 percent of the time,” one client said.

Snoddy, owner and broker of Andrea Snoddy & Associates, says that her “ability to see past certain pitfalls of a house and my knack for remodel ideas and paint color selection” has been one of her main strengths as a broker. As her clients note, it’s also her inspiring confidence, insightful negotiation, strong work ethic and tenacity that has made her stand out in the industry.

Snoddy works with both buyers and sellers in Houston and the surrounding counties, including the neighborhoods of Briargrove, Tanglewood, Briargrove Park, Walnut Bend, Braes Heights, Timbergrove, Oak Forest and Bellaire. “My favorite clients are young professionals or just married couples looking for their first home or an empty nester opting for an active adult lifestyle,” she says. Snoddy has purchased, remodeled and flipped 16 homes in the past seven years. “From the flipping business, I also picked up new clients from my remodels. I feel this adds value to my real estate sales.”

Snoddy inherited her love for real estate from her mother, a former agent, who loved buying homes and remodeling. “We moved often because she would finish one home and we would move in, only to have people approach her and my father to purchase it. We even moved just across the street one time!” Her father, the owner of a sand and concrete pipe business, would purchase numerous tracts of land to use for its sand and then sold the land to homebuilders. “There are many nice suburban neighborhoods now developed where his sand business once occupied,” she says.

At 27, Snoddy decided to join the residential real estate industry. She started from the ground up, assisting many of the top producers in the Houston market, before founding her own brokerage firm.

Snoddy says this past year was her personal best since opening her brokerage in 2010. She was able to grow her firm, adding three new agents to the team. “I love taking brand-new agents and personally training them. When they close their first deal, I’m like a proud mom!” Her proudest personal accomplishment this year was being declared cancer-free after undergoing two bouts of breast cancer.

Snoddy is a four-time recipient of the 5-Star Real Estate Agent Award, a member of the Houston Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors, and was a recipient of the Nancy Owens Spirit of Courage Award from Realtors Making a Difference, a fundraiser for breast cancer patients and survivors.

In her free time, Snoddy loves to travel. “My bags are packed and always ready to go for short getaways. It’s good for clearing your head,” she says. She and her husband are loyal football fans, and enjoy visiting different college stadiums throughout the country.

Snoddy was a volunteer for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo for 23 years, and she is a sustaining member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumnae Association, the Junior League of Houston and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
