Working for an independent real estate firm that also specializes in marketing allows Jared Anthony to cater to his clients’ needs with more of a personal touch. As executive vice president of agent relations and real estate affairs with Pogi Marketing & Realty, Anthony says he and his team members are “servant real estate leaders.”

“Our goal is a team approach that specializes in providing a phenomenal experience to Houston’s phenomenal people.” Anthony considers the whole state of Texas as his territory, rather than a specific neighborhood or area of Houston. “My clients and my closings range from Houston to Galveston, Austin to Dallas and areas like Seguin,” he says. He also works with several investment groups to create real estate portfolios. Currently, his team is marketing a portfolio of 178 single-family homes in an investment package out of the Memphis area. Growing up in the military town of Fort Sill in Lawton, Oklahoma gave him an appreciation for the country’s public servants. “Nothing satisfies me more than securing homes for active duty service members, veterans, EMTs, firemen and police officers,” he says.

Anthony’s professional experience covers a wide range, starting with his first job, at age 16, at a local mortuary. “I went on from there to attend mortuary school at the University of Central Oklahoma,” he says. He worked as a pilot for eight years with ExpressJet before changing careers to better provide for his family.

In his free time, Anthony likes to pilot planes, play piano and cook. To give back, he donates a portion of every commission to Houston Pets Alive, a no- kill shelter for dogs and cats. Pogi also supports The Gabriel Foundation, Houston Food Bank and charity: water.
