Monica Brashear
Realtor Associate
Martha Turner Sotheby’s International Realty
Monica Brashear’s career in real estate grew out of a passion project. “I spent nearly all of my free time finding properties to purchase, renovate, and lease or sell,” says Brashear, an associate with Martha Turner Sotheby’s International Realty. “I quickly became the expert to whom friends and neighbors would turn when buying or selling their own properties.”
Now, seven years later, Brashear is a top-ranking producer as well as a certified negotiation expert and certified luxury home specialist. Focusing on The Woodlands, Spring, Tomball, Magnolia, Montgomery and North Houston, Brashear assists buyers and sellers representing a wide range of experience levels and budgets. “The more different types of clients I handle, the more seasoned I become,” she says. “I believe it prepares me for any obstacle.”
As a former attorney, Brashear has an eye for detail and a keen foresight for potential roadblocks. “Once a property is identified, real estate becomes a contract law transaction,” she explains. “There are so many moving parts, all with potential legal consequences. Anticipating obstacles, as well as attending to all of the minutiae with care, paves the way for a smooth transaction in a complicated industry.”
To reach her target audiences and ensure every listing receives maximum exposure, Brashear uses a multi- faceted approach, including mailers, social networking, open houses and local media. Brashear has a great deal to show for her hard work, having recently been inducted into the Martha Turner Sotheby’s Hall of Fame. She is also a Zillow/Trulia Five Star Agent and was named among America’s Best Realtors by REAL Trends and The Wall Street Journal.
Brashear is also a member of the Kentucky and Maryland bar associations. When she’s not working, Brashear enjoys watching her sons play basketball and piano.
