Coming from an entrepreneurial family, Mercedes Mosby, a proud native Houstonian, was destined to own a business. Following college, she started an art design firm, specializing in custom murals for children’s bedrooms and nurseries, as well as every other room in a home. It led her to home remodeling and flipping and laid the foundation for her career in real estate. Mosby, CEO-broker of Mosby Real Estate and Investments, Inc., has been in real estate for nearly 13 years, building her niche by serving seasoned property investors and an elite roster of Houston A-listers in the greater Houston area and all of Texas.

 “I was essentially born into real estate on the investing side, immediately learning the value of residual income,” she says. “I grew up watching my grandparents, along with my parents, build and maintain impressive personal real estate portfolios.”

Once she was old enough, she was pushed into property management and decided early on to earn a real estate license. Her first week in real estate, Mosby became a multimillion-dollar seller. Founding Mosby Real Estate and Investments has been a way to further build on her family’s entrepreneurial ideals.

The firm surpassed its sales goals in 2019 by facilitating multiple investment property remodels/flips for local and international buyer and seller clients, along with selling a record 68-acres, to be divided into lots and turned into a new master planned community, without the use of an MLS. In essence, she ended the 10-year anniversary of her business on a high note.

“I’ve created a referral-based brokerage that is client-driven, because I personally go above and beyond for all of my clients,” Mosby says. “Happy clients, happy life.”

Named “Houston’s Best Kept Secret in Real Estate” in the Leading Women in Business section by O, The Oprah Magazine and featured in Entrepreneur Magazine, Mosby makes it her mission to stay up to date on the commercial and residential Texas real estate market. “Doing both has truly been the key to my success.”
