Houston agent Smita Singh knows what sets her apart from others — she considers herself a Real Estate Entrepreneur.
Specializing in families with kids, Singh made the transition into real estate after being a retail store owner for 10 years and working as a consultant for women entrepreneurs. “I’m an accidental real estate agent,” she jokes. She says her journey into real estate began because of her husband, Benny Singh, and her mentor, Kunal Seth. “They believed that I would be successful,” she remembers, “and I believed in their conviction and took the plunge.”
Singh says that while she’s lived in Houston for over 20 years and knows the city in and out, it’s over the past three that she’s learnt the most. “With so much new construction and new developments happening in Houston, it’s important to have your finger on the pulse,” she shares. “Every week, I make it a point to visit new communities and get to know the area, the schools.”
Her greatest accomplishment has been writing over $37 million in contracts as a single agent in under three years, and she also was recognized as a finalist for the 2020 Greater Houston Builders Association Realtor of the Year award. In addition, she leads REAL Collective, a collaborative group that helps agents grow their real estate careers. “My goal and mission,” she declares, “is to help as many female real estate agents as I can to become millionaires.” She also has a podcast called “Real Estate Success Accelerator,” where she shares the secrets to a successful real estate career.
As an expert on the Houston suburbs, Singh knows how to get the job done for clients. “I’m an expert and not a tour guide,” she says. “I help my clients make decisions for building long-term wealth.”
