Named as one of Houston’s Top 20 Under 40 Rising Stars in Real Estate in 2023 by HAR.com (Houston Association of Realtors), Brian Shemirani is adamant about not taking himself too seriously. “I am professional and well versed, but I also make sure my clients have a positive and upbeat experience along the way,” he says. A self-proclaimed, “Persian-American Southern gentleman,” Shemirani, at just 30 years old, has been quietly making waves in the Houston real estate arena since 2016.
Gaining vast experience as a new development manager with CitiQuest Properties, Shemirani recently formed his own team called the Odyssey Group, creating the opportunity to lead a group of young rising stars within “CQ.” Specializing in development consulting and planning, land acquisition and new construction marketing and sales, he represents builders, developers, investors, business owners, sellers and buyers throughout Inner Loop Houston, Sugar Land, Missouri City and Galveston.
A member of HAR’s Governmental Affairs Advisory Group and Political Affairs Committee, Shemirani supports HAR’s Young Professionals Network, Habitat for Humanity, Houston Food Bank, Kids Meals and Candlelighters. He also volunteered with John Whitmire’s campaign for Houston’s mayor and for the Edward Pollard for City Council District J Campaign. “I have had the privilege of helping mold and create entire micro markets and thriving communities, giving me a front-row seat in witnessing Houston’s new development space grow into what it is today,” he says. “This gives me a ton of data to accurately advise clients for the present and future of this space.”
With a newfound obsession to learn polo, Shemirani recently started lessons with a professional polo instructor with hopes to eventually play for a local league near Houston. When not working or spending time with his two young daughters, he also enjoys art, working out, playing golf, being outdoors and traveling.
