The Houston metropolis-area has reported a 5% decline in foreclosed-home sales during Q1 of 2010 when compared to the Q4 of 2009, according to RealEstateProArticles.com. Other Texas cities report a decline of up to 26% during the same time.
RealEstateProArticles.com says that foreclosure-home sales accounted for over 18% of total residential real estate sales in Texas metropolitans in Q1 this year, with foreclosure sales accounting for 31% of total residential sales on a national scale.
Data from ForeclosureDataBank.com shows there are over 15,000 homes currently in various stages of foreclosure in the greater-Houston area.
