John T. Young, Jr., senior managing director of Conway MacKenzie Inc., recently announced the addition of Mary Katherine Turner to the corporation’s Houston team. Turner will specialize in providing advisory services to clients facing distressed and bankruptcy situations.

“Mary Katherine brings to the firm an invaluable knowledge of distressed situations from the perspective of a secured lender,” said Young, who oversees the firm’s Houston and Dallas offices, in an article for CityBizList.com. “Her experience in special assets will enhance our existing expertise advising bank clients and will also assist with the formulation of strategic options for borrowers. We look forward to her continued contribution to our practice and clients.”

Turner’s previously served within the Special Assets Group of Amegy Bank of Texas. There she handled bankruptcy situations for Bigler LP and TriDimension Energey, as well as dealings with bank regulatory issues related to distressed credits. Her industry experience includes terminal operations and retail and real estate assets.

Turner earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Georgia. She is also an active member of the Turnaround Management Association and the Association of Corporate Growth.
