Construction underway at Trendmaker Homes’ 129-home community in Katy

by Kerrie Kennedy

Construction has begun at Trendmaker Homes’ Haven at Seven Lakes, a 129-home for-sale residential community in Katy.

When completed in first quarter 2021, the gated lifestyle development will offer 129 homes on 40- and 50-foot sites in the top-rated Katy Independent School District.

“To love where you are, but also be able to easily get where you need to be is an essential part of quality community living and something the residents of Haven at Seven Lakes will definitely enjoy,” said Trendmaker Homes Houston Division President Joe Mandola in a press release. “This rare infill development opportunity called for a tailored, extra-effort approach, resulting in a unique and thoughtful home plan line-up that we’re confident will resonate with Houston-area homebuyers.”

Homebuyers will be able to choose from 10 curated home plans ranging from 2,000 to 3,000 square feet, featuring traditional architecture and interiors with tall ceilings, functional flex spaces and natural light.

“Owning new homes in a mature district means residents will also benefit from an already lower tax rate, which has decreased even further,” Mandola added. “According to the Houston Association of Realtors, the good news continues on the development side as greater Houston home sales soared 29% in September and the single-family home median price and average price increased 8.3 and 10.1%, respectively, both record highs for the month.’”

The community, located directly off of Westpark Tollway at the Katy-Gaston Road intersection, will include a four-acre amenity lake surrounded by community walking trails, exercise stations, a playground and pavilion area and a butterfly garden. An adjoining five-acre parcel that Trendmaker sold off after its January land purchase will offer retail options.

The grand opening of Haven at Seven Lakes is slated for February 2021. In addition to scheduling a tour of one of the three decorated model homes, home shoppers can  tour the homes virtually as well.
