By Mary Prenon

Davidson Homes, a rapidly growing home builder based in Huntsville, Alabama, recently fortified its leadership team with the promotion of Greg Duriez to chief operating officer and the appointment of Jeff Deane as chief financial officer.

Duriez, who previously served as regional president, offers more than 30 years of experience in the new-home industry. Before joining Davidson Homes, Duriez was the Atlanta division president for Century Communities. He has also worked for Pulte Homes, NVR Ryan Homes and KB Home. Duriez will oversee all ongoing Davidson Homes operations in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee and Texas and will direct the company’s expansion into additional Southeast markets.

Deane brings 26 years of accounting, finance and operations experience to his CFO role at Davidson Homes. Prior to joining the company, Deane worked in homebuilding  with William Lyon Homes where he served in several leadership roles. His positions included vice president/regional controller, vice president of corporate accounting and finance and vice president/division manager.

“Both executives strengthen our company as we continue our focused, organic expansion strategy of building in fast-growing, thriving communities in the South,” said Adam Davidson, founder, president and CEO of Davidson Homes. “Greg is a proven, homebuilding veteran who has been instrumental in our growth. Jeff’s extensive experience in finance, accounting and operations will be invaluable as we expand into new markets. “The company recently celebrated closing on its 2,000th home and currently, Davidson Homes owns or controls more than 8,000 lots in 73 communities across Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee and Texas. Last year, the company was awarded “Biggest Mover” by Builder Magazine in recognition of becoming the fastest-growing home builder  in the country.  The company also ranks No. 93 on the 2021 “Builder 100” list of the largest home builders in the U.S. “It is an honor to take on this new role, and I want to thank Adam for this exciting opportunity,” said Duriez. “I’m excited about the future and working with Adam and our division presidents to grow our presence in each local market.”

Deane added, “Adam is an exceptionally successful entrepreneur and leader, and has built an amazing company. His passion and long-term vision are what drew me to Davidson Homes.”
