Highland Homes debuts townhomes in Houston real estate market

by Lindsey Wells

After a successful testing phase in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Highland Homes is bringing its award-winning townhomes to Houston’s Towne Lake community.

Two floor plans will be available: The Cottages Series and The Villas Series.

The Cottages Series will feature four two-story designs, each with three bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and front-facing two-car garages. Sizes range from 2,060 to 2,138 square feet, with pricing from the low $500,000s.

The Villas Series also features four floor plans, ranging from 1,761 to 2,297 square feet. Priced from the upper $500,000s, the designs boast three bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, an upstairs loft and two-car alley-loaded rear garages.

“Dallas Fort-Worth was our test market for these floor plan designs and they did very well,” said Aaron Graham, president of Highland Homes, in a press release. “With the significant demand we are seeing in the Houston area, the time was right to expand our offerings in this market.”

Graham added that high ceilings are a standout feature of the designs, imbuing an openness uncommon to townhomes. Additionally, each floor plan has two-story family rooms, ample windows for natural light and side or back patios for outdoor enjoyment.

“Every inch of the floor plan is maximized for the utmost livability,” said Gonzalo Romero, vice president of architectural services for Highland Homes.

Several floor plans won architectural design awards in the 2022 McSam Awards hosted by the Dallas Builders Association.

These are the first designs Highland is offering in Towne Lake. In June, the company will introduce townhomes to a second Cypress community, Bridgeland. The release noted that the homes would feature eclectic modern elevations exclusive to Bridgeland. Interiors will range from 1,761 to 2,297 square feet, with prices starting from the high $400,000s.

“We expect both of these neighborhoods to be a draw for those looking for a lock-and-leave lifestyle that is further enhanced by award-winning amenities and health and wellness benefits,” Graham said.
