Johnson Development opens up hundreds of Houston homesites to builders

by Emily Marek

Johnson Development plans to release over 1,600 homesites to the market by the end of 2022. The developers currently have 19 active communities — 15 of them in the Houston area — many of which contain open lots that will roll out to builders beginning in October and extending through the end of the year.

Over 500 lots in the Fulshear community of Jordan Ranch will be distributed to eight builders: Beazer Homes, Chesmar Homes, David Weekley Homes, Highland Homes, J. Patrick Homes, Lennar, Perry Homes and Westin Homes.

“What we have planned in Jordan Ranch is typical of a Johnson community — having a wide variety of homes to accommodate many buyer needs,” said Michael Smith, president and CEO of Johnson Development. “It also allows residents to move up or down in a home as their needs change without leaving the community where they have put down roots.”

Another large distribution of these lots will be in Harvest Green in Richmond, where 452 homesites will go to builders throughout the month of November.

“Harvest Green is Houston’s first farm-centric community, and sales have been exceedingly strong there,” Smith said. “For several years, Harvest Green was ranked among the nation’s top-selling and has been nearly sold out for about the past year. We’ve gotten many inquiries about when this new 630-acre lot will be selling.”

Additional lots will be distributed to builders throughout the rest of the year in the communities of Sienna in Missouri City, Woodforest in Montgomery County, Grand Central Park in Conroe and Edgewater in Webster.
