Houston is one of the top real estate markets in the country, according to the Urban Land Institute and PwC’s Emerging Trends in Real Estate in 2023 report.

Houston ranked 14th out of 80 cities examined, which is a big jump from last year’s spot at No. 24 on the list. The year prior, Houston ranked even further down the list, at No. 52.

The Urban Land Institute and PwC cited factors such as the Inflation Reduction Act and “innovation communities” as some of the reasons Houston’s real estate market continues to grow.

Additionally, Houston ranked 8th in the country for homebuilding. The report also predicted that Houston will add nearly half a million new residents in the next five years.
