HAR: New listings inch higher

by Emily Marek

There was a slight uptick in new listings in Houston during the week ended May 8, according to the Houston Association of REALTORS® Weekly Activity Snapshot.

Realtors entered 3,308 new listings into the Multiple Listing Service during the week, a 1.2% increase over the amount entered during the same time in 2022. Pending listings, however, were down 6.3%.

HAR also noted that while closings still trailed last year’s pace, traffic at showings continued to rise over last year’s volumes. Potential buyers attended 46,508 showings during the week, compared to 41,513 during the same week last year (an increase of 12%).
