Pelican Builders and Ember Group obtained $111 million in funding for The Hawthorne, a 67-unit condominium project in Houston’s Tanglewood neighborhood. Proceeds will go towards the completion of the project, which developers broke ground on in 2021.

Located at 5656 San Felipe St., The Hawthorne includes two- and three-bedroom units ranging from 1,517 to 3,444 square feet. On-site amenities include a swimming pool, fitness center, resident lounge, coffee bar, community grill, dog park, private storage units and pet washing stations. The building will also offer resident services such as concierge, valet parking, dry cleaning and laundry, pet walking and grooming and tech consultation. Douglas Elliman is leading sales efforts, with over 50% of the units are pre-sold.

The Hawthorne received the Houston Agents’ Choice Award for Condominium of the Year in 2022 and 2023.
