New listings continue to track well above 2023 volumes in Houston, according to the Houston Association of REALTORS® (HAR) Weekly Activity Snapshot for the week ended March 25.

Realtors added 3,301 properties into the MLS, a 21.2% jump year over year. That marks the 12th consecutive week of year-over-year increases in 2024.

Both pending and closed listings continue to trend slightly below 2023 volumes, however. Pending listings decreased 5.8% year over year, with 2,334 properties going under contract; closings, meanwhile, fell 4.2%, with 1,586 homes sold.

Consumer interest remains high, though: listing views on HAR.com increased by 31.3% annually, indicating potentially strong demand for the remainder of the spring and summer.
