The city of Houston is partnering with Cityside Homes for an affordable housing initiative targeted at Houston residents.
Under the Affordable Homes Program, Cityside Homes built 40 affordable, new-homes in two different gated communities in the Northside neighborhood, located minutes from downtown Houston. Prices start at $320,000, with qualified applicants eligible to receive up to $130,000 in payment assistance.
Program participants must meet the following qualifications:
- Two-year employment minimum
- $30,000 savings maximum
- Income limit of 80% to 120% of the Area Median Income (AMI)
- Debit limit of 33%/45% ratios
- Credit minimum of 620
