New listings in Houston during the week ended Sept. 9 continued to outpace those placed a year ago, rising 23.7% year over year, according to the latest Weekly Activity Snapshot from the Houston Association of REALTORS®.

Realtors added 3,544 properties to the MLS, up from 2,866 properties during the same week in 2023. Pending listings rose 3.2% to 2,033.

Closed home sales also rose, gaining 2.8% year over year to 1,728 from 1,681 a year earlier.

Listing views on HAR.com inched up by 1.7% to 9,047,587, while showings continued to trail 2023 volumes, dipping 5.2% from a year earlier to 33,634.
