The 2025 SP 200: Power players in Texas real estate

A number of leaders and executives in Texas real estate were named to T3 Sixty’s Swanepoel Power 200, an annual ranking of the most powerful players in the industry. The highest-ranking Texas leader on the list was Bob Hale, president and CEO of the Houston Association of REALTORS® (HAR).

Hale ranked No. 38 this year and has consistently ranked in the top 40 since the SP 200’s first ranking in 2014.

Furthermore, HAR Executive Vice President René Galvan, who will serve as Hale’s successor when he retires in 2026, was recognized on the SP 200 Watchlist.

“We are immensely proud of Bob and René for receiving these prestigious recognitions,” HAR Chair Shae Cottar said in a press release. “Their exceptional contributions to HAR and the real estate industry as a whole are truly commendable.”

Also on the SP 200, at No. 102, was Mark Woodroof, CEO of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Gary Greene, which is the largest brokerage in Houston; and at No. 117, Emily Chenevert, CEO of the Austin Board of REALTORS®.

Longtime Houston broker Courtney Johnson Rose also appeared on the list at No. 150. Johnson Rose is the CEO of George E. Johnson Properties and the president of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers.

Further down the list, Dallas power player Russ Anderson, CEO of Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty and Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty, ranked No. 195.
