Miriam Valencia and her 50-agent brokerage, Alumbra International Properties, are now affiliated with eXp Realty.
Valencia founded Alumbra Properties in 2023, serving as CEO. She was recognized as one of the Houston Association of REALTORS® 40 Under 40 and a Texas Agent to Watch in 2024 and was named InfluenceHer of the Year by the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals in 2023.
“I built Alumbra as an independent brokerage and grew a strong brand and culture in Houston,” Valencia said in a press release. “At the same time, I started thinking about how to scale bigger without losing what we had built … I wanted something that allowed us to grow bigger while still protecting the culture we built at Alumbra.”
Valencia was introduced to eXp by Thao Nguyen.
“eXp allowed us to keep our identity while plugging into a larger platform,” Valencia explained. “Once I understood how eXp works and how we could continue operating as Alumbra within it, the decision started making more sense.”
Outside of her work as the leader of Alumbra, Valencia is a mother, pursuing her MBA and working to become an attorney.
