Michael Harrington surpasses expectations from the initial meeting through to the final exchange of the keys at closing. As Vice President, Harrington has 23 years of lending experience, working with clients from first-time homebuyers that need down payment assistance to jumbo loans for wealthy homeowners looking to add to their portfolio. “I believe in sitting with each person and determining the loan product that will serve their family’s best long- and short-term goals,” he explains.
As the child of a single parent who moved often and rented every place they went, Harrington is motivated by the opportunity to provide families with a home of their own where they can plant roots and make lasting memories. Harrington himself purchased his first home when he was 19 years old, the youngest he’s seen to date, by using one of the first-time homeowner products in Houston.
For the past five years, Harrington has ranked among the top 1 percent of mortgage originators in the country, and uses his expertise to train industry newcomers. “I love to teach others and see them excel,” he says, adding that he recently gave a presentation at Sales Mastery, fulfilling one of his professional dreams.
Harrington serves on the Business Network International Membership Committee, is a Brian Buffini Ambassador and a member of The Collective Leadership. He supports Feed the Hunger, World Vision and Compassion International and plays the drums at his church in Katy.
Outside of work, Harrington enjoys flying airplanes and spending time with his four kids and wife, going on a yearly excursion to one of the national parks to enjoy the great outdoors. “They inspire me daily to keep being a better version of myself,” he says.
