The Fidelity National Title Team

Amanda Chapa, Assistant Vice President and Escrow Officer

Merita O’Krinsky, Assistant Vice President, Assistant Branch Manager and Business Development Manager

Combining attention to detail with a “whatever it takes” attitude, Amanda Chapa and Merita O’Krinsky of Fidelity National Title skillfully service transactions from all 254 counties in Texas and hold several partnerships nationwide. Together, they provide clients with knowledge and service to navigate the closing process, which gives them the opportunity to be the highly professional extension of their clients’ businesses.

A Houston native, Chapa entered the title industry in 2000, accelerating from receptionist to escrow assistant within months of her arrival and finally becoming an escrow officer in 2017. In 2018 and 2019, she won the national Top 10% award in escrow production from Fidelity National Financial, and since 2018, she’s consistently earned her place in the company’s Million Dollar Club. “My style is ‘work hard, do a clean job and you’ll see the productivity and progress,’” she says, adding that she owes her success in part to her working partner, Victoria Taylor.

Earning her real estate license while attending the University of St. Thomas, O’Krinsky entered title work with a degree in finance and four years in corporate America. “Working on the trading floor helped create and fuel my drive for helping others and succeeding,” says the longtime Katy resident and first-generation immigrant from Albania. The No. 1 sales person in the organization, O’Krinsky balances caring for her clients with managing her team. “Stefanie Gerdes and I get to lead a team hand-in-hand with some of the best in our industry,” she says. “That team motivates, inspires and encourages me to be the best version of myself, which translates heavily into my business and mindset.”

Bringing a human element to the title business, Chapa and O’Krinsky are known for placing their business partners front and center, tending to their needs no matter the day or time. Both are full-time working mothers and cite their families as one of their greatest personal accomplishments.
