Residential construction has been on the rise throughout the country in 2013, but what of here in Houston?


October was a very good month for residential construction in Houston. How good? Try these three facts:

  1. In October, the latest month for which McGraw-Hill Construction has data, residential construction in Houston topped out at a whopping $646 million.
  2. Incredibly, that’s up 7 percent from October 2012.
  3. Among major metropolitan areas, only Dallas and New York City had larger residential construction numbers.
