Ashton Woods names new regional president in Texas

by Lindsey Wells

Ashton Woods announced this week the appointment of Lindsay Motley as the new regional president of Texas divisions across the Ashton Woods and Starlight Homes brands.

Motley will transition out of her previous role as president of Ashton Woods’ Austin division, which she has occupied since 2018, according to a press release.

Motley brings over 22 years of experience to her new role, in which she will work with leadership teams in Houston, Austin, Dallas and San Antonio to drive the company’s growth in Texas.

“We are thrilled to have Lindsay step into the newly-created role of regional president to drive continued explosive growth across our Texas operations,” said Ken Balogh, president and CEO of Ashton Woods. “In her four-year tenure with Ashton Woods, Lindsay has tripled the revenue of our combined Ashton Woods and Starlight Homes business in Austin, expanded the division footprint and built a robust land pipeline to fuel our future growth in the market.”

Motley’s career has included leadership roles with significant experience in sales, marketing, talent management, operations, analytics and training.

“I am proud of all we have achieved here in Austin and honored to play a larger role in Ashton Woods’ success throughout Texas,” said Motley. “From Ashton Woods’ focus on serving the design-forward buyer looking for thoughtfully curated designer touches to Starlight Homes’ mission to make the dream of homeownership a reality for first-time homebuyers, we have a great story to tell and a range of options to deliver on the needs of homebuyers across all of our Texas markets.”

Motley, who serves on the executive board of the Austin Homebuilders Association, will be based in the Ashton Woods Austin division office. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
