Lappin Properties meets demand for rural properties with Round Top Springs

Houston-based real estate brokerage firm Lappin Properties broke ground on a new development in Round Top, Texas in a partnership with Central Land Development. Once complete, Round Top Springs will be home to 16 single-family custom builds with prices starting from $2.9 million.

The development Houston builder Brickmoon Design created the floor plan for the first home in Round Top Springs with TC Interiors handling the interior design. Construction on the next three homes in the development is set to begin within the next 90 days and will be handled by Brixos Construction.

Sissy Lappin, owner and Realtor at Lappin Properties, has marketed and consulted on over $500 million worth of projects across Texas during her 25-year career. She and her brand are one of three partners involved in the marketing and sales at Round Top Springs.

Located on Nassau Road just outside of Round Top, Round Top Springs is about an hour away from both Houston and Austin. The development sits on 135 acres of farmland with each lot spanning five to 10 acres. Two of the lots in the development are already reserved for buyers.

“The interest in Round Top Springs shows how robust the rural market continues to be,” Lappin explained. “In the past year, the price of land has tripled in the area. They aren’t making any more land. And ranch owners in the area don’t sell — they know it’s the safest place to park money. Demand and scarcity are going to keep driving prices and interest.”
