Fourteen master-planned communities in the Houston area were recognized by RCLCO Real Estate Consulting’s Mid-2023 Sales Top 50, with Sunterra earning a spot in the top three.
The real estate consulting firm’s ranking summarizes master-planned communities based on year-to-date sales. Sunterra in Katy ranked at No. 3, with 669 sales so far in 2023.
Not far behind was Bridgeland — the Cypress community posted 511 sales this year, up 59% from 2022. That put the Howard Hughes Corporation development at No. 6.
Another Cypress MPC also made the top 10: with 478 year-to-date sales, Marvida ranked at No. 9.
Additional Houston MPCs in the top 25 were Caldwell Ranch, which ranked at No. 11 with 439 sales; Tamarron, which ranked at No. 14 with 425 sales; Breckenridge Forest, which ranked at No. 19 with 360 sales; and Sienna, which ranked at No. 25 with 328 sales.
Moving into the latter half of the list, Tavola ranked at No. 27 with 316 sales, Baytown Crossings ranked at No. 28 with 306 sales, Meridiana ranked at No. 34 with 290 sales, Sierra Vista/Sterling Lakes ranked at No. 41 with 244 sales, Cane Island ranked at No. 46 with 228 sales, Elyson ranked at No. 47 with 224 sales, and Painted Tree ranked at No. 48 with 223 sales.
Jordan Ranch and Cross Creek Ranch in Fulshear also earned honorable mentions for their sales volumes.
Sales in Houston master-planned communities made up 24% of all MPC sales in the first half of 2023.
