by Kasey Chronis

Lennar, one of the nation’s leading homebuilders recently opened a model home in its newest Houston community, Tavola. Friendswood Development Company (FDC), a Lennar company, is building this master-planned community in New Caney, Texas just seven miles north of Kingwood. Lennar Homes in union with Perry Homes will be the neighborhood’s first builder. Tavola, an Italian word that often refers to a table for gathering or a place for meals, is set for completion in 2015.

For its initial stage, the builder is offering three of its collections for future residents to choose from. The first, Brookstone Collection, will offer a two-story home on 50-foot home sites. These homes will start in the $170,000 range followed by the Stonewall Collection homes, which will be built on 55-foot home sites from $240,000. Finally, the Texas Reserve Collection will be comprised of homes built on 65-foot lots and start from $280,000. Future sections of the project will feature 75-foot home sites and patio homes.

Each home will include a front porch, two-story entry and four bedrooms. The master suite will be located on the first floor and the remaining bedrooms upstairs. Plus, French doors will open to the front balcony. In addition to the amenities that each individual home will offer, Tavola will provide its own amenities to the community. Residents will be able to enjoy a recreational center with a pool and clubhouse, lakes, parks trails and sporting fields.

The new community is conveniently located for families in the New Caney Independent School District. Tavola will house the neighborhoods newest elementary school, which will open in August 2015. It is also within minutes of major employment centers and the Greenspoint Business District.
