Johnson Development announced that Jacob Rice was promoted to vice president and general manager of its new master-planned community in Katy.
Rice first joined Johnson Development in May 2022 as the senior development manager at Cross Creek Ranch, having previously served as the senior land development manager at Toll Brothers.
“Jacob has proven himself with his exemplary work at Cross Creek Ranch,” Michael Smith, president and CEO of Johnson Development, said in a press release. “We are excited to have someone of his caliber lead development of this new community.”
Located north of Interstate 10 near Morton Road and FM 2855, the yet-to-be-named community will include approximately 2,400 homes zoned to Katy Independent School District. Johnson Development acquired the property earlier this year and plans for sales to begin in early 2025.
