New listings surpassed 2022 volumes in the last week of 2023, according to the Weekly Activity Snapshot from the Houston Association of REALTORS®.

Realtors entered 1,599 properties into the MLS, a 10.2% increase year over year. Both pending and closed listings lost momentum, however, as the number of homes that went under contract decreased by 19.5% and home sales decreased by 10.1%.

Showings remained stagnant year over year, with 0.3% fewer property showings occurring during the week. Listing views on HAR.com fell 12.9%.
